茫茫九派流中国，
Wide, wide through the land flow nine streams full to the brim;
沉沉一线穿南北。
Long, long from south to north threads one line deep and dim.
烟雨莽苍苍，
Shrouded in grizzling mist and drizzling rain,
龟蛇锁大江。
Tortoise and Snake hold the River in chain.
黄鹤知何去？
Where is the yellow crane in flight,
剩有游人处。
Leaving for visitors a site?
把酒酹滔滔，
I pledge with wine the endless flood;
心潮逐浪高！
With rolling waves upsurges my blood.
