军叫工农革命，
Our Army rose for proletarian revolution;
旗号镰刀斧头
A hammer and a sickle mark our banners red.
匡庐一带不停留，
From the Lu Mountains we marched with resolution;
要向潇湘直进。
To Rivers Xiao and Xiang we fought our way ahead.
地主重重压迫，
The landlords piling up oppressions thick and high;
农民个个同仇。
The peasants bearing common hatred one and all.
秋收时节暮云愁，
The evensing clouds look heavy in the autumn sky,
霹雳一声暴动。
The revolt breaks out as a thunderbolt does fall.
